water pump leak

Hey guys have a 1948 Farmall H trying to get ready for paint noticed antifrezze leaking right in front of packing nut tried tighting nut up looks like its in as far as it goes tried greasing no luck also when i move fan blades back and forth it has a lot of play in it around pulley area what do i do rebuild it not much experience in that area or look for another pump. Thanks for all the help

I have rebuilt both Farmall H and M water pumps. They are really pretty simple. I just replace the two ball bearings, two seals & felt washer and the pump packing and it is good to go. Less than $100 in parts so it is a lot cheaper to do it yourself then buy a new or rebuilt unit.

The mating surfaces on the impeller should be faced off on a rebuild. I do these pumps quite often. Email is novakain73 @gmail.com if you have any questions.
