Super C hydraulic hoses

I had new hoses made for my 1954 Super C. Wrote down on a piece of paper how they get put back on.I lost the paper. It doesnt give you this info. in the operators manuel or the fast hitch manuel. So if someone could explain how all 4 hoses go where off of the check valve block in front of the seat this will help me out alot.

I just put new hoses on mine. The block in front of the seat has a flow fuse in it. It is used to slow down the extend oil coming out of the cylinder. This keeps whatever is hooked to the back of the fast hitch from lowering to fast. If it does not work correctly, just switch the hoses at the cylinder. My cylinder is not on right now as I just came back from a tractor pull.

try case ih parts online look up your model, you may be able to look up the hoses and valve and get a picture of how they go

If you only replaced the hoses from the block at the front of the seat support to the cylinder, there is only two ways, right and wrong, but the wrong way will not damage the unit. If you hook it up backward, the cylinder will function backward, that is when the control lever is pushed forward the cylinder will go down. If pushed forward it should go up. If on the first try it happens to be wrong, simply reverse the hoses at the cylinder.

Rick that looks like a good temporary fix, but I would be looking into replacing the rubber hoses with metal like the original.

I do not really agree with that. I have had this tractor just a little over a year so I do not know everything about it. The parts book shows both hoses and tubing. The hoses from the spool valve to the valve block looked to be original to the tractor. They still had the I H symbol on them. They also were not "leaking" but the cover was cracked in places and the two hoses were starting to sweat enough that they were damp all the time. I had the new hoses made up to the lengths shown in the parts book and they fit perfectly. The hoses from the valve block back to the cylinder were almost new. I just shortened them and added quick releases. This tractor is used for pulling and I got tired of threading the hoses in and out of the cylinder. Just saying.
