Is this priced right?

I wouldn't pay that much for one like that unless the loader was worth at least 1/2 the asking price or if the tires were 90% or better but then there are others that would.

Thanks for bringing up the link. I can't figure out how to do that. I was thinking it's worth scrap price minus the loader.

With a locked engine, no. Not unless the tires are NEW or the tractor looks REALLY good.

"Good tires" could mean that they're (sorta) round and (sorta) black and (sorta) hold air...

IMHO it's about $1000 too high, and that's assuming you get some of your money out of a few key parts before you scrap the rest.

Love the tire description!

I agree about the price but not about the scrap part all the way. If you are running a shoe string operation and need a loader tractor that size and can do the wrenching yourself it might be a good deal at 1500. Other than that yea the scrap part is right too.

With the unknown factor if the TA is good, is this a tractor worth rebuilding the motor or salvaging goods parts and scrapping the rest?

That would depend on your wants, needs and pocket book. I've seen running 460's with loaders, gas, sell in my area for 2500-3500 dollars. If you can get the tractor right and the rubber is as good as the PO says you can make your money back scrapping it. If you want or need a tractor in that size range and can get it right rebulding it could be the way to go.

My brother purchased a 1963 IH560 gasser with 2000 loader, engine dusted but runs, good TA for $1600 near Garnavillo IA. We will throw an overhaul kit in it and will have $2600 in a good running tractor.

I think the Dubuque one is too high.

No way, there is a different 560 in the area with an "inspection hole" in the block for around $1000. I would jump on that one a lot quicker.

I would guess this being a "deal" or not would depend on what the loader is and how good of shape it is. For the tractor itself, Im thinking not. There has been several 460s and 560s for sale in Madison craigslist in the last 6 months or so for way less and they ran. I think the last one I saw was a running 460, narrow front for IIRC $1600.
