My uncle has a 1466 that is in really nice shape and I have an old 1086 that needs lots of work.I was curious if anybody out there has put an 86 series cab on a 66 series.I have both tractors already so just wondering if it might work....

Will it work, yes, if you are a fabricator. We sold a damaged 86 series cab to a customer and he had someone put it on a 66 series tractor. I never got to see it but he said it took a whole lot of work.

yeah I will check it out some more, cause all the sheet metal will need to be switched over as well.Might be more of a headache than its worth eh...

The sheet metal would be the easy part. The center section (clutch/TA housing), rear frame, and axle housings are also different due to cab mounts and hydraulics. If you don't use the 86 series hydraulics you will need to be creative with a fuel tank.

On the other hand all the drive train gears and such could be used in the 86 series housings.

Don't bother trying. The 66 series look way cooler with fenders. The 86 series look way cooler with cabs. Your going to ruin the look of two tractors. Shame LOL Kent
