I am needing to source a few items to complete my 450 LP engine overhaul: Cam gear, cam and lifters. Does anybody know if these items from an M/Super M will interchange to a 450? And any known sources for used parts of this nature? Thanks.

Those gas and LP engine parts will interchange.

Only thing is a original SM camshaft was a little lower on the power output than a 450. Also two different ways of retaining the cam gear to cam were used on a 450. Left hand threads and right hand threads. there is a engine serial # break. If you get a used cam get the nut with it if different than yours. If using the right hand thread cam a 400 is the same. Some places will grind your old cam lobes and suface the lifters. Also maybe this site and other aftermarket places sell new cams and gears for that engine. If getting a used cam gear most will have a number on them and a suffix. M through 450 will have the same # but different suffix. Get one with a DB suffix used on part of the 400 and all 450. Replacement parts installed over the years make finding any of the non original parts or parts you want in any M to 450 tractor a maybe. Only way to know for sure is check inside. Also now any new parts you want will probably be the same for a M to 450.

most lifters can be ground at a local auto machine
shop all the other parts can be gotten on this site. Super M , 400, and 450 should interchange . the heads for distillate , gas and lp are different .

Probably but check the part numbers on the CaseIH website. I have never owned or worked on LPG. But, be aware that the M did not come from the factory with LPG, SM, yes, either factory or converted by a supplier before sale.
