Front bolster removal

I removed the bolts holding on the front bolster on my '44 H. Any advice on how to pull it off of the rails without killing myself?

I always take one side rail loose at the bell housing. Take it clear off and the bolster will drop out to the side. Stay out of the way when it falls.

i"d guess with the vertical shaft in there prolly 300 lbs. use an engine hoist connected to the very top of the bolster asem when you remove it. i remove the tricycle front first to get weight off of it.

Ditto on the engine hoist hooke up high, pull it away from tractor then lay it down gently on blocks to disassemble.

Engine hoist or as I did and used the loader on my tractor. It's too heavy for one guy to lift unless your a beast. I did remove the tricycle pedestal 1st. I chained it up top and just took the slack out of the chain. Then removed the side rails and swung it clear.
