Tips on Splitting an M

Thinking about splitting an M to replace front gear case seals. Any advice on how to improvise splitting stands? I know you can do this without splitting, but would prefer to split.

If you are talking about the ones in the front of the transmission I would not split it. Not sure what you mean by gear case.

This is the stand we built. It was built for a big Ford, but works on pretty much anything. We just blocked up the rear end.

Yea,If you are talking about the actual transmission input seal,you will be dropping the belly pump(if so equipped?) to get at THAT one.
