IH 484 ????????

Got a chance to buy what appears to be a nice straight IH484, serial # says 1981 model. Not too familiar with this model. (Have had several 454's) What's the low down on the 484? And significant problems? What to look for when I get to drive it tomorrow? And most importantly, what's a decent one worth? (above average condition, good rubber, new clutch)

454 and early 484 (inline shift) are pretty close same basic layout and 179 ci 3 cyl diesel.

1981 should be "early" 484.

later 484 with H pattern shift a little nicer.

Decent condition and good rubber 5k tractor "here"

Look for brakes and parking brake operation, those tend to be an issue on 84 series.
