ok tractor restore guys, need some help.

I was going to just replace my rims but cant seem to find the correct replacements.

Think best bet might be to dismount the tires and get these sandblasted, repair the damage area around the valve stem, new tube and be done.

But if i could just buy new ones for 200-300 bucks that would be cheaper in the long run Im sure. Maybe quality it not the same though.

Thoughts??

quick progress update... all sheet metalfenders is getting worked on now. Few more things to finish fixing before it head to paint shop. new brakes, guage replacements, new hose, removed weights, etc.

But going well.

Should be able to get a Titan rim no problem. They
won't be as good as original but then if you repair
yours it won't either.

that want i was thinking too... the fuild in the rims did eat out the area around where the stem comes in. I talked to couple guys, repair can be done, but I was thinking all along to just replace them.

thx!

Those same rims were used by John Deere and maybe some others. Shouldn't be that hard to find. 'course gettin' all the yellow off will be a bit of a chore.

Don't know your location but Hey Wheel in Baldwin City in eastern Kansas just southwest of Kansas City sells a lot of replacement new rims for tractors in this area. I'm sure you can find them on the internet with a search, Hal.

Thats funny, they were built by EWC and Titian owns and operates them under Titian brand.

Simple to demount tire, repair the damage and the hole, drill new hole in new location. Your new /replacement rims will painting also, so figure that in.

That's a standard double-bevel rim. Should be easy to find new replacements, as they were only installed on about a billion tractors from 1955 on...
