my old international skidder when i have it in idle it runs ok but when i rev it up it wont run i was thinking it was carb troubles but i cleaned it with carb cleaner already replaced plugs, fuel filters, condenser, coil pack, put new gasket kit on exhaust/intake manifold cause it was lose thought it was sucking air and still wont run i pulled the plugs out the other day and they had a lot of carbon build up on them. can anyone help shed some light on my troubles.

it had a mechanical fuel pump on it i was only able to find a electric fuel pump and i put that on and so far it seems to work.

no i didn't soak it just sprayed it. gonna try a new fuel pump cant get one till monday. the filter after the pump isn't full of fuel while its running and when i shut it off it drains itself. i had it running earlier i got it to go full throttle i left it run like that for bout 10 mins without touching it then i got on it and moved it around forward, backwards, left, right then after moving it around it started to spit and sputter again and shut itself back off.

when i rev it up the rpms do go up then it begins to spit and sputter and then it stalls it will only stay running when at idle it is a wisconsin vg4d. i didn't blow it with air i will try that and i already disconnected gas line at carb and i even put my thumb over it while i cranked it over just to make sure it had pressure

did you actually disassemble the carb and soak it? or just use that spray junk.but after soaking it should be washed with cool water and then all passages blown out with air.does opening the main jet make any diff?appears to be a plugged passage in carb.your confident fuel pump is ok?

You need to make sure you have a full stream of gas from the tank to the carburetor. Disconnect the gas line at the carb and use a clean container to catch the gas. If there's just a trickle of gas you have blockage in the tank or a clogged filter if it has one.

Did you use compressed air to blow out the jets on the carb? The main jet may be clogged. If that carburetor has a main jet adjustment sc/ew you need to open that. Hal

"when i rev it up it wont run". not clear what you mean. does it just stay idling or does it stall? maybe governor spring??? what engine is that?
