A friend got this for the tires. But he thinks it's too nice to scrap.

Please, DO NOT scrap that one. Not only does it have the CORRECT early style seat, but it also has the correct early style steering wheel which is no longer available in that size. That tractor deserves to live again.

why would he even think of scrapping it? nice to see some good oldies in work clothes like that.

Well like I said he thinks it's too nice to scrap, runs nice too. He has about 50 tractors that he has collected. He bought it at an auction and said that he didn't really take a look at the tractor until he was loading it.

Not to mention the shutters and starting tank appear to be there. (not that they are 39 only like the seat, steering wheel, or "hog trough" deck)

No way would I scrap it. I think he should sell a few tractors and build a shed. I hate to see good tractors sit out in the weeds like that. They deserve more than that.

Lights, battery box, PTO shield, belt pulley, tires. Ebay that puppy. all day long it's 1350.

He's absolutley right! Way too nice to scrap! I'm curious what the serial number is.

I hope he chooses to restore it. Best looking '39 I've seen in a while!

If its the same tractor I seen sell that day and I am guessing it is the it has almost perfect tin work. I looked that one over pretty close and it really was a nice one yet.

Paul yea the tin work is very nice. I don't think there are any dents in the hood.

Boy, I bet there's someone out there with a set of tires that would happily trade for a nice machine like that.

It would be a shame to scrap or part it, that looks like a very straight machine from a year that is very unique.
