My 230 is spitting out the exhaust - wet stacking like a diesel. If you open the throttle quick it will give a puff of blue smoke. The plugs are all burning clean and it doesn"t seem to burn any oil. I did make it work hard for a short time which didn"t seem to help. Is it possible this is a head problem?

Blue smoke sounds like oil to me.

Excess gas is black, water is white - oil is blue.

I'd check the compression.

If you are loosing coolant it could be anything from bad head gasket to cracked head. If it does it with the muffler hot, I would be concerned. If it clears up in use, I would ignore it. Gas tractors can wet stack! Jim
