1066 AC question

So I have been restoring my 1066. I replaced the low pressure line for the ac and when I did the wire to engage the compressor clutch became disconnected. Where does this plug into? I can not tell from the wiring diagram. Also 3 years ago I had to replace the AC relay so the condensor fans would kick on. Now the fans wont kick on, but if I unplug the relay, bend a piece of wire and and jump the wires that would go to the relay they kick on. Does this mean the relay is bad? And has anyone ever used one of these?

My 1066 has what I think they call the delux cab red with white roof condensor in back. Sorry for so many questions.
Thanks,

First off, do you have freon in it? Compressor and all three of the fans will not come on if it is "dry".

Wiring:

Compressor to the low pressure switch (left side of evaporator).

Other side of the low pressure switch to the high pressure switch (left side of the condensor).

Other side of the high pressure switch to the theromostat's #1 terminal.

All power comes in via the two 30-amp circuit breakers inboard of the right battery. One leg powers the condenser fans and the other leg powers up the compressor and the blower fan.

The "problem child" of this entire system is the big cab disconnect plug behind the right step. Make darned sure this plug is making a good connection.

The A/C relay is just sitting there (with power) waiting for it's trigger signal from the thermostat.

Again, the way you describe this problem is that the low pressure switch is blocking circuit function (low on freon).

Hollar back if you need more info.

Allan THANKS! You seem very knowledgeable on my situation, thanks for your time. No there is no charge. I was trying to vacum the line and was unsure if it needed to cycle. So i will plug the clutch wire into the low pressure switch. The cab plug is a little rough had to bypass it a couple times. Thanks again

Yeah,

If you put in a lb of freon before ya ever start the tractor, it should be enough to trip that low pressure switch and allow current flow to the rest of the circuity.

The compressor will then engage and the blower and condensor fans will spin.

At that point you can continue filling with the use of the suctions side fill port with the compressor running. Takes 4 to 4 1/2 lbs to charge 'er.

Ok I think I have it figured out but I went to snug the fitting on the top of the compressor and it twisted off. Now i need the top plate of the compressor and a new seal. Any idea of where I can get pump components?
Thanks,
Randy

So i put on the sanden compressor, but I am getting no juice coming out of the thermostat switch on the purple wire, the one that goes to the high pressure switch. Does this mean my switch is bad? The low pressure port on the new sanden pump is it on the right side, closest to the motor?
Thanks
