Broken fan bracket - Need part or information

One "ear" is broken off the bracket that holds the fan. The bracket is bolted to the entire front of the motor of my 1976 Internationa Cub Tractor. Any ideas where I can find the part?

The part was probably broken by somebody that tried to turn the nut on the back side rather than the turning the shaft frm between the bracket and the fan hub. Nearly everything you need to know about fixing it is in this thread on farmallcub.com.

You can probably get a replacement front cover from one of the suppliers listed at the bottom of that page.

Another cause of breakage is when the carbureter linkage becomes separated from the governor. The engine will overspeed and break the fan mount. Sometimes it will mess up the radiator.

I believe Jim is correct in that the front engine plate/fan mount is reproduced. There must be alot of broken ones out there. Check Steiners.
