I have a hydraulic lift for Farmall F-12/F-14. Wondering if anyone knows a good asking price to sell it. It works, but do not have seat bracket.

NH, There are many around and I see a fue not selling at there asking price. Unless you have an impliment that will work with it I don't see the point of adding it to your tractor. The implements are the iteam of value! oldiron29

Hydraulic? I thought they were all manual mechanical lifts. Advertise it, if someone is looking you might sell it. The value will only be what someone is willing to pay. I have had a couple of mechanical lifts from an F12 and they were worth about $.13 per pound.

How about posting a picture. I need a tractor with a 3-pont hitch and it would be a lot cheaper.

It moves, but if I grab the shaft, itll stop, let go, and it moves until it reaches its stopping point. Im not too worried about, I just got it for looks anyways. Matter of fact, I think I bought the tranny top from you years ago. Mine was busted where the seat normally monts and had been repaired, rather poorly, and the unit wouldnt sit down like it was suppose to.

I dont have a pic.I have seen tow or three over the years.prety simple-attach tug links to the drawbar supports;rig some chains from the lift down to the tug links;mfg a top link bracket to the back of tractor-bolt to 'boss' just above the pto.you can put your own "slant" to the apparatus

About ten years ago my M farmall was broke down about hay time.I needed a tractor to mow with and my F12 had a powerlift on it.The three point off my M bolted right to the axle clamps and with a little engineering and a hyd.valve I bolted my 501 mower to it and mowed my hay with it .Fawteen was kind enough back then to post pics for me.It will lift a 5 ft rotary mower and if anyone is interested write me and I will talk more about .It is also in tractor photos. Thanks Ralph

Ah. I remember packing up that top!

Two things occur to me about the problem:

1. Low oil. My pump leaks and over time the oil from the lift winds up in the trans.

2. Bad vane springs. The vane that moves the rockshaft fits in a slot on the shaft and the other end seals against the housing. It's held in place by spring pressure. The springs are in the slot the vane sits in, IIRC.

Ralph, I rummaged around in my archives and found those pictures. I posted them again in case someone here finds them useful.

Yup! thats exactly how it works, by looking at the parts breakdown. Like I said though, Im not really worried aboit it working. I dont have anything to use it with, so its just a "showpeice". I may even go back in and take one of the gears out of the pump. It makes more racket in the trans since I put it on anyways.
