Farmall Cub Speed

What is the top speed of a Farmall Cub? Also putting larger tires on it, would it increase the speed very much? We have tractor cruise and we have minimum speed of 9 mph and I don't belive this tractor can meet those requirements. Any input would help! Thanks in advance for reading.
 
If you really wanted to, you could re-gear it to go that fast. The lawnmower pullers do it all the time and its the same trans. You can buy the gears and get the charts for the speed differance at Midwest Super Cub. I'm not sure how safe it would be but just letting you know it can be done and its not that hard.
 
7MPH is top speed with a Cub.

You won't have enough power to climb hills in 3rd, and bigger tires will only make it worse.

Plus, 7MPH on a Cub is a little scary. Compared to a full size tractor, you sit close to the ground so it feels like you're going about 50MPH. However, you're still sitting up high on a narrow tractor so it feels a bit unstable at full speed.

get a governor off of a power unit this will increase the max rpm to 2800
good running cubs will climb hills in third gear
