The tractor was at the Mecum Auction in Walworth, WI. The serial number was 230880. The guy said it was a '49. I'll trust him. He said he had to fix on it and it wasn't perfect, but it is better than not having it at all. Note the mounts and how it used wingnuts to hold the top on.

I had a feeling the piece in the middle on the extended stud was for the battery box and now I know for sure! It was too perfect to be homemade. I'll have to check the toolbox harder for the front piece. I did find the original radiator drain in there.
