I replaced the pump that is attached to the multiple control valve (MCV), because the clutch, brakes, and steering would only barely work at an idle, and decided to rebuild the valve while it was out of the tractor. Before working on it the T/A was working fine, it would go from low to high and back. Now after the rebuild and new pump the brakes, clutch and steering are working great, but the T/A wont shift from low to high, it is stuck on the low side. The lever works normally and isnt stuck. Anyone have any suggestions

You may have wrong gasket in the mcv so no oil is going to ta. Gasket kits come with gaskets for both valves with or without ta. possibility. If I was checking it out there are many things to look at before tearing it back apart, dump valve working would be one. Pressures of course in ta and direct drive. Remember, ta side does not need pressure to pull tractor, direct drive does. It will free wheel also if no oil is going to ta side.

I think Pete is on to something with the gasket. a few years ago I replaced a TA in a 1086 that was burned up and came apart. the whole time I was doing the job I was looking for a reason for the failure. when i was checking out the valve I noticed that there were two holes that looked torn in the gasket, I found that the two holes were the TA pressure but the lube oil port was not open. there was a part # on the gasket and when i checked sure enough it was for a non TA MCV valve. I asked the customer about it he said they rebuilt the valve the year before for a leak. In your case I would check all the adjustments and check the system pressure. the Ta relief valve is on the upper rt side of the MCV valve. you should have to realy fight against the spring to get the plug started to get good pressure.
Good luck Ed

I was going to say check for a plugged oil passage, but the gasket idea would be the most obvious. I learned that with the old C6 transmission valve bodies. LarryT
