Does anyone have a 350U with a FACTORY 12v system.
Is it pos or neg gnd.

I have later 350U and is is 12V positive.

It makes zero difference unless you have an alternator (350 did not have one). The only other possibility is shorter VR life if it was designed only for + or - ground, and used the other way. You also need to reverse the + or - connection to the coil if changing grounds.
