Adding turbo to an 806.?

Very good tight engine, this is one gppd condition motor, been disking with it all week, I am wondering if it is a good idea or a bad idea to add a turbo to it. I have that 1206 I bought, but the 1206 and this 806 will be doing the most tillage, and the 1750, but I am not sure that is a good prosppest for a turbo( it has 200hours on a rebuild and did have all the updates. Reasoning for the turbo's is I need a little more HP to increase tillage width which will cut down my feild prep. An 18 IH 475 is just a bit much for that 806. I would like to run an 18 and 20-22 foot disk and a 22-28' digger.

1st thing I would do is have the injection pump turned up. Adding a turbo without adding more fuel will not help. I got a 806 with the pump turned up and a turbo and it works great if you don't work it hard for a long time. The cooling system is only able to carry away so much heat. And HP = Heat.

about 10 years ago I tore my 806 down for a rebuild, put it back togather with 1206 turbo pistons, went to a tractor salvage yard and scarfed all the turbo parts from a blown 1206. Put it all back togather with rebuilt and turned up pump, and rebuilt injectors, the increase in power was out of this world. It played with a 22ft field cultivator, pulled a 5-18 semi mount plow in high ta and 3rd L and stayed right with my buddys stock 1066 at 116 hp. never had a heating problem.

need to add piston oil squirters in block to keep piston cool 1206 had them 806 has plug in hole were squirter should be did this to 806 15 years agowhen i overhauled one at dealer
