Proper Decal for 1945 Farmall A

Hello. I have a 1945 Farmall A and I need to know which decal is correct for that year? Is it the McCormick-Deering or just the McCormick. Thanks All. Dont know when the break was on changing over to just McCormick.

McCormick Deering without the IH man-on-tractor logo. The transition occurred in '47, when the IH logo went on the hood with McC-D, after which it went to McCormick only with the IH.

I understand that the change from McCormick-Deering to just McCormick occurred in mid 1949

Scotty is correct. I forget what month exactly the change occurred, but you won't be too far off if it is 1946 or older, McCormick Deering. If it is 1947 or newer, IH McCormick.

I think it became IH McCormick Deering sometime in 1945. I am relying on the Maple Hunder decal catalog for that. Guy Fay says probably January 1947, but says it is difficult to trace, I won't argue with either. Became IH McCormick, no Deering in July 1949. Before 1945 or 47 it was simply McCormick Deering, no IH.
