my 806 wont lift up anything with the 3pt or hydraulics unless its over 1000 rpm the faster the rpm the faster it lifts. even if there is nothing on the 3pt it still wont lift it at an idle, or maybe just barely. filters and hytran are new and at correct level. also if i have something lifted in the air over night it settles down by the next day. any idears?

Thats the sign of a weak pump but it usually takes awhile to slowly wear down. Air leaking past the pump shaft seal. May take a speedy sleeve to fix. A lot of times it the seal that goes from the pump to the transission allows air in. Many people run an extra 5 gal. of oil in the tranny to cover the seal. I have to and it doesn't hurt your tractor. Most likely something gumming up and blocking a valve or a popoff maybe has something stuck under the ball.

The settling down could be leaking pistons inside the cylinders maybe the valve spools sticking and not centering like they should. Does the steering work ok? Sometimes it is just a process of elimination and checking pressures and flows. Try some things and let us know. Someone with knowledge will come along and nnalert my post. good luck.I would rule out everything else before buying a new pump.

If you have another IH tractor around or a neighbors try swapping the high pressure cartridge for the rear frame system, 706/1586 all had 1, it is on the side of seat casting, hex plug with numbers stamped in it, just screws in, no oil loss, (engine off), they come in different pressures 1750 psi thru 2500, (86 is under rh rear cab, 2 pipes leading to it), new are pricey for test. 06/26/56 were usually 1750-2000, 66/86 were 2250-2500, it says on plug.
