2 More MD engine questions.

1) Where is a good place to purchase a good used radiator for a M/MD? Our radiator guy said our tanks were cracked & it needed a new core. I checked with Steel Wheel Ranch, only has new ones and can't ship till mid July. Emailed Weber Tractor Works, no response. I would like to get a good original instead of China made one.

2) On inspecting the rocker arm assembly for the MD, the ends of the rockers that push the valve down have pockets worn in them. No way to get an accurate feeler gauge setting like that. Could I take a small belt sander and flatten them out again or could they be welded back up and ground back down? Or would it be wiser to just look around for a better used one? Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions.

Don't know what to tell ya on the rad. but the rockers need to get GROUND and reprofiled by a machine shop that knows how to do this and do it correctly , if not done just wright then it will eat valve guides .

lbg,

If you do not find anyone local to grind

the rockers ,I have the material to repair

them and the grinder to grind them.

Might try Alderson Tractor 641 624-2275, or this website for radiator. Re: rockers, good machinist will fix you up, just had mine done as part of head rebuld.

I have done many rocker arms on a Sioux valve grinder. Locate an auto machine shop & they will likely have the correct machine.
