Changing F-20 Transmission Gears

One of my F-20 parts tractors has the factory "Road Gear." How difficult is it to install these gears in another F-20? How many gears have to be changed?

Might be better off to swap the transmission as a unit.

I think you would have to change the gears on the top two shafts in the transmission. If you have a manual it shows how to do this. Take top cover off, shafts go forward and then out the top. Actually not that bad. Now swapping the whole trans, thats another story. You have to take the frame rails off, take the countershaft housing off the trans case. I'd go the gear swap route. Get the F series service manual, photo overhaul. It really isn't that bad of a job.
