Question on Super AV

I am looking at tractor that I was told is a Super AV. The Serial number starts with FAAV and the serial number makes it a 1948. Is this person correct? I know the hood decal should have super written through it but that is missing. The hood emblem on the front is the square IH one.

FAAV works for me on the seat bracket, FAAVM on the engine. I would look for casting codes that verify the date. Someone more into originality than I am can tell you but I believe an "R" would be the right code for 1948. Just went thru all this with mine. I have a "1949" SAV in the shop on deck for some work. Lots of swapping around of stuff on the offset Farmalls so I don't get too bugged by an odd part here and there. They worked hard and stuff broke...ya know?
