International 1972

Hello Folks; Did the 1972 International B2400 tractor come with a 2-point or the 3-point hitch? Also; can 2-point implements be used on a 3-point hitch? Thanks to all.

I may be ignorant, but do not recall a B2400 international. There was a 240 international made up to about 1962. The B implies British, but that number does not pop up on Yahoo search. So without knowing more, it would be hard to answer all your questions. By 1972 all internationals were equipped with standard 3-point hitches. To the best of my knowledge all the British Internationals were 3-point even in the early 1960"s. The two point had been discontinued for all internationals by 1972. I have never heard of mounting a 2-point implement on a 3-point. You can go the other way, but not a 2-point implement on a 3-point whiteout a major rebuild of the implement hitch and you would not retain the 2-point.

LMACK; I am probably wrong as you suspected. Sorry about that. Thank you for the information. Very knew to this stuff! Thanks

I dont recognize the tractor either, more info or a pic would be nice.
With how easy 3 point equipment is to find, I would just stick with that.

Maybe you are refering to a 2400B. It was an industrial tractor, don't know what ag tractor it was based on. It came with the gas C-157 or Diesel D-179. It was built as a loader/backhoe or as a mowing tractor. 3-point was an option.
