F-14 sleeve removal

I was wondering if there is anything I need to know about removing the wet sleeves from an F-14 engine. I've rebuilt H engines with dry sleeves but I've never dealt with a wet sleeved engine.

So far I've been able to remove one piston. Anyone have some times on removing a sleeve and piston together?

I removed the sleeves on a Farmall A using a piece od 2 X2 oak and a hammer. Some pistons came out with the sleeves. Used a torch to get the pistons out. Only needed the rods. The other sleeves came out using the oak and hammer.
They're not pressed into the block. If they won't move you may need to make a puller and a puck to fit the sleeve bore. Hal
PS: Here's Keith's sleeve puller he made for his Super C.

Seth,I have read some of the old posts on sleeve problems and removal. I my self have only had one real bad stuck motor that the sleeves came out with the pistons. Pushed them up with jack and oak dowel. Some have told me about putting dry ice inside sleeve to get them out. If they don't pop loose I would think soak I PB. New going back freeze your sleeves in the freezer
and dawn dish soap and they will slide in nice with a fue tapes of hammer and wood block.

Couldnt tell ya as my 14 already had been rebuilt when I got it back, but the guy who rebulit it has done probably 100 12s and 14s. Last time I saw him working on one, he had gotten the psitons out, and drove a wooden block he special cut to fit in the sleeve from the top. With his big pipe wrench he turned the sleeve and it pulled right out. Not sure just how bad the engine was to start with, but only took him about 20 minutes to pull all 4 sleeves.
