IH 300 pto bands

Need some help here guys. Gettin my 300 ready for mowing and need to replace the pto clutch bands. Im all out of adjustment and it still slips. Sooo. Where can I get such a critter? Been online for 30 Minutes searching and come up empty. Any and all advice and suggestions are appreciated

My SMTA is in the same boat. I believe they are still available from Case-IH. I haven't tackled mine yet, but when you get them out, a GOOD, knowledgable parts man can point you in the right direction. The same shops that reline old brakes can reline those bands. My parts man knows a guy that still does it. Supposed to be WAAAAAY cheaper than buying new as well.

Good luck. Let us know how you do.

Sometimes you can gain some additional life out of them by swapping positions. The brake band does not have to hold as much as the engagement band.

They arent available aftermarket and case wants like $300 or $600 each, I forget exactly. Do a search on the internet. There are companys that reline clutch and brake discs. They should be able to handle it.

Try D Slater 1st. Otherwise external_link has them (used) for about $115 each as of last fall. Local CIH dealer wanted $700+. There is no aftermarket that I know of.
