What does this mean about my timing,or does it.The C has a mag.It does"chug" sometimes when under a load.Thanks

Your mag is in time or it wouldnt start as they fire on TDC when the engine is cranked then when it starts it will go to around 32 deg advanc when running as there is no curve on that mag so it is in time or it wouldnt even start.
 
I think he's asking why are the corners of the contacts burning off???The one ccw of the top is worse than the top one..I unfortunetly don't have an answer for you I haven't seen that on mine yet....Good Luck!
 
After the rotor is off, there are 3 screws to remove. Then you can check and or replace the points too if they are bad. Take the 2 small screws off the plate where the large gear is. On the small gear there are 2 teeth with the edge milled off. those should match up with the C mark on the large gear.
 
Teddy,I have a H4 mag and when I took off the plate those 2 gears had no such markings,but in the end,when the mag snaps,the rotor should line up with its cylinder contact?Right?Because mine was snapping before the matching contact.
