farmall cub?

Cubs have sparkplugs sticking straight up from the top of the engine, all other farmall/IH tractors (that I know of)have them on the side of the head (usually right side of the head.
There is also a 30% difference in actual size. A cub can fit in a full 8' PU box an A would never do that. Jim

The Cub was even smaller than the Fairway-12 and it had overhead valves like the Farmall A. The Cub's didn't have sleeved engines and had valves in the block. Hal.
PS: The A would pull a 16-inch moldboard plow.

Cub dont have a pto as u know it, just a right angle shaft you can put a pulley on. A or B, has a true pto & as pulley. Ive had/got 2 Cubs, and a B

The Cub is smaller, but it has a flat head engine - not OHV. The little C60 engine was never very powerful. So "weak" that some of the 2 cylinder Cub Cadet models had more power than it had.

A super A will fit in a 8 ft Dodge 3/4 ton pickup. I put 2 2 x 8 10 ft boards on the floor and drive the Super A in. Have hauled the A to the IH dealer 30 miles away several times.

If the scale (the A, while not a big tractor, is a good bit larger than the Cub) isn't of help, a quick eyeball would be the shape of the fuel tank. The A has the bullet/teardrop shape typical of the letter series. The rear of the tank on the Cub is more like a quarter of a sphere in shape.
