Removing pto shaft from super c

How do you get the shaft out of the houseing. Thanks in advance

I am assuming you have the housing off the tractor. First you have to take the gear off the shaft, remove the woodruff key from the shaft, then the shaft should drive/press out of the bearings. It's been a while since I did one, but I remember the gear fought me long and hard. It is very difficult to get a puller to take hold of the gear.

The gear and woodruff key must come off before the shaft can come out. The woodruff key prevents driving the shaft out through the gear. I've done this once and getting that gear off was a struggle!!
