W-9 radiator

I have a W9 and wondered why the previous owner had plates holding the bottom of the grill to the main frame. The radiator has a top tank and bottom tank but there is nothing on the sides of the core to bolt the grill to. What's missing? I noticed today on a power unit there was a cast iron piece that ran down the side, is this true with the 9 as well? If so, does anyone want to get rid of some?

You are missing the side channels. They are similar to F-20 side channels.

if you can find out if the side plates off the power unit will work i may have one
