Was looking a parts diagrams on the Case-IH web site, in this case for the IHC 2250 loader, with respect to the diagram on 2-40 Hydraulics, External Control, and I noted that with respect to some of the parts shown within the diagrams there was an indication of REF and INSTRUCTION, just as listed below;

36 1 REF Instruction Manifold-Power Beyond, Tractor Valve
38 1 REF Instruction Valve-Tractor Auxilliary
39 1 REF Instruction Tube-Auxiliary Valve Return

Can anyone tell me what the REF referrs to and where you can find it? The “Instruction” sort of indicates that this might be in the operators manual, but I don’t know as I do not have an operators manual, not yet anyway. Anyone out there have the 2250 operators manual or the full parts manual? I would like to review the documents referred to within the REF and Instruction as listed above. If that is on the Case-IH web site somewhere please tell me where as I can’t find it. Anyone??

I would want to think that REF would stand for the word reference or possible the word refer to. It looks to me like they are directing you to a sub- assembly or assembly that these parts are related to. That is my best guess. Maybe someone will have more ideas. Armand

i also believe "ref" means refer to. Instruction seems to mean the instructions for that particular attatchment.
