Steering Clutch for IHC

I have a T-340 International Crawler Loader. The problem I'm having is when I'm traveling forward or reverse it wants to go left or right without moving either lever. If it goes left and I pull the right lever it then goes right but won't straighten out unless I pull the left lever again. Could you please tell me what I need to do to fix this problem.

Probably lever adjustment (by the book) the levers may not be returning to the track clutch on position. (full forward on lever) this would account for continuing in a drift toward that direction. Each lever first releases the track clutch on that side, then brakes the track. If it is not reengaging the clutch it will go crooked.
You might try pushing the levers forward after a turn, but adjustment is where I would go first. JimN

Unfortunately, I don't, My experience is with a TD20, A very different animal. A manual should have it. The point about the undercarrage is valid, but usually not in both directions, and not debilitating. I wish I could help. JimN

www.external_link has the manuals for them. The complete service manual isn't cheap, but you don't have to buy the whole set.

Good luck!

Ben
