What is a stuck Farmall Cub worth?

Just wondering how much you would pay for a stuck farmall cub. I know a guy who is asking $500 for his but I am unsure if this is a good deal after having to rebuild the motor.

It depends. Is it complete? Sheet metal straight? If the answer to both of these questions is 'yes' then I would think its a good deal. Are there other goodies ... drawbar, starting crank, wheel weights, implements? The $$ numbers can add up fast.

No sleeves in that engine if I remembers my reading correctly. Why is it stuck, do you know? I think that might make a difference.

If it has implements, that can also be a bonus.

I bought one cheap with a crank needing 0.040 under bearings which I could not find. It's sitting in the pasture.

I just bought two in bad shape for $250. One missing sheet metal. Both missing manifolds and carbs. Back tires 3 are fare one trash. However, he had just sold a complete one that was stuck for about $1200. A few years back I bought one with mower and cultivators but not running but not stuck for $1000.

This man has Cub crankshafts some are ground .010 under and some are STD never been used. Has never used blocks too. Hal

A few years ago I bought one that was running, not a spec of paint on it anywhere, 4 junk tires, full set of wheel weights and a double plow on the back for $500. Sold it 24 hours later for $1200.

It would be nice to maybe look in the spark plug holes if you can to see if it is full of water or just stuck from condensation. Up here in washington tractors sometimes get stuck from the condensation in the air. If they were full of water becasue it has an upright exhaust it maight be pretty bad. Those motors aren"t sleeved so if it si stuck bad then it is a costly road ahead.

So does that make it worth $500 or $1200?

See any tractor is worth what someone will pay for it.
