1944 Farmall M wide front question....

Have a chance to buy an M that is in really good shape, farmhand F11 loader, after market three point, good tires, starts and runs good. $3000.00
The question I have is on the wide front it is mounted using an "L" shaped casting that mounts about 16" back from the front of the tractor. It hasn't been broken and the truss rods that are attached to the casting and then runs towards the back are in good shape. How stout is this set up? Not going to be lifting large heavy round bales or the such. Will it handle 1000# or less? Mostly will use the tactor for light row crop work. But the loader is handy at times. Any tips? Thanks, Dan

I bought my M for $2000 with a Farmhand F11b loader. Then, I found a WFE for $400 and an aftermarket 3 pt for $800. I still need to do the hydraulics on the 3 pt and will need a new set of spools ($500+). I need to replace most of the hydraulic lines ($$$). I was thinking of offering $400 for a stripped Farmhand F11 frame nearby, since mine is pretty worn.

An M with WFE, 3 pt and Farmhand F11 for $3000. Good deal in my books! I love my F11 loader.

Also, loaders are like pickups. As soon as you get one, you start using it for heavier chores than you ever imagined.
