Farmall starter ?

I have a starter that I have tried on my S/C Farmall it bolts up ok and starts well and looks just like my starter but the saddle switch goes on in the opposite direction and the lever works towards the radiator instead of toward the back like it should. What tractor can this starter be for?

Not sure, but you MIGHT be able to turn that switch around to use it on the S/C,

That starter is for the A and B series as they used a push rod to enguage. You cannot turn the sw around. Take the starter back they gave you the wrong one. Starters for those series are listed either front or rear sw locations. Or you could make a heavier rod and push for starting. The original one isnt strong enough. Too many listings for the starters will list same starter for A,B and C but they are wrong.
