140 Fast Hitch Rod Length

My 1959 Farmall 140's lift rod has two welds in the middle about 4.5 inches apart. The rod looks like it has been lengthened by a previous owner. I measured its overall length from where it is welded to the "U" shaped piece at the hydraulic output rocker arm to the end (threaded end) at the fast hitch rocker arm and found it to be 60" long.

I sure would appreciate if one of my fellow single point fast hitch owners would measure this same piece on their tractor and let me know the length.

Thanks

Joe, I owe you. Thanks for taking the measurement for me!

I guess the rod must have gotten bent/kinked at one time and a new section was welded at that spot.

The lift rod is not straight. 11 inches from the hydralic end there is a slight bend towards the tractor center. At 31 inches there is a bend away from the tractor giving an offset of 3 inches to the rod. Hope this helps.

Thanks jbp. My hitch rod has the bend you describe. The reason I asked about the measurement is this tractor seems to not pull up the implements as high as 1966 International 140 I used as a boy. Then again, my memory may be faulty!
