farmall a carb question

I believe that is the same carb as on my B, if not someone will yell at me. 9/32 from bottom of float to gasket surface. A drill bit makes a handy feeler gauge.

It's right on the float itself. The float height is set with the bowl off the carburetor and the carburetor inverted on the bench. The adjustment is made my manipulating (read "carefully bending") the metal between the float body and the hinge about which it floats.

If you're thinking about getting into it and your carb hasn't been opened in a while, you'll want to have a new gasket for the bowl on hand. Most rebuild kits, which would include that gasket, would also include a parts and instruction sheet illustrating more precisely where and how the float height adjustment is measured.
