What is everyones opinion on a Farmall 756 Gas. Found one locally with a short 3000 hours on it. Well cared for and priced reasonably. I know the 56' series was good, but how about the 756 specifically as far as HP and size?

good tractor IF you run the proper grade of gas and use low ash 30 weight oil. The engine requiers hightest gas now as they were made to run no less then 93 octane gas and you can do some real damage to the pistons and sleeves running anything less. Thrust me on that one and the low ash oil is uded to keep from burning valves as they will plum eat valves on anything other then the low ash and here again trust me on this and we have already been down this road

Priced at around $3800 with Westendorf loader and cab which I think is a great price. I have seen the tractor before and it has not been abused and according to the owner not used much/if any in the last 20 or so years.

That is a real good buy with the Westendorf loader on it (assuming the loader isn't all busted up). You didn't say what model of Westendorf loader? If it has a good TA series loader, the loader alone would be worth $2500 to $3,000. Even if it has an older WL series loader, the loader alone should be worth $2,000. All of this means you're not paying very much for the tractor, so its hard to go wrong.

Ok,
Have it home to look it over. Has only 2201 hours on it and from what I gather the loader is a WL 30 and in good shape other than the one bucket side has been bent in a little. Haven't looked too close yet, but doesn't appear to have any breaks or welds on it. Haven't tried TA on low side, but does work great on Hi side. Does have a cab on it so gauges and dash are in great condition as is the original seat.
