Super A push rod/valve cover bolt torque

Hello, I need to replace the gasket on the push rod/valve cover on my '53 Super A. I need to find out the recommended torque to apply to the two bolts on top that secure it to the top of the engine. Thanks for your help.

Assuming you mean the nuts on the tops of the studs.

I don't know where you'd find an actual torque spec. Good'n' snug will do it. There should be a copper washer that serves as a crush gasket between the nut and the valve cover. About an eighth or quarter turn beyond where the washer/gasket stops turning when in contact with the nut is about right.

Nothing too muscular, as you don't want to crush, bow or buckle the valve cover. Snug and a touch more.
