Farmall M 400

I am trying to get a little info on my M. I found the plate with a number. Every thing is off of the plate except the numbers 2099 S there is a D above the S. What information can I get form that number? Thanks stan

i dont know about m but it sounds like someone put a 400 rear end on your m. on the 400, 450s the D is for diesel. the S is for ta with indpendent PTO

It may be a 400 I assumed it was a M. It just says 400 on the hood. stan
