I had great fun drilling out two, count um, two manifold bolts on my SM. (replacing the manifold) Of course they broke off smooth with the side of the head. What's worse, I broke off 2 different taps in the holes,,,,Whew, that was a pill!!

After church I went and bought a 1949 chevy pick-up,so Ill need some front end parts, then we took the grand childern to a tumbling gym where I threw my wife into a pit full of foam 6x6 cubes and the grand kids pushed me in with her.It took me 30 min. to get out with help from others,it was like quick sand the more you tried to get out the deeper you sunk.

i pulled the oil pan off of my Farmall A in the middle of the snow fall. i thought the lower end was going to be a mess with the way the top end looked, but it is in perfect shape not even a spot of sudge, and made shure my A.C. big ten was ready for plowing tomaro morning.

Ate lunch with friends after church and then came home and changed clothes and went to work timimg the the mag on the Farmall A my cousin and I just re-ringed. Bought it in September and our helper took the mag apart to file the points and got it out of time. Good news is that I got it together correctly and heard it run today! Still got a carb problem, but she starts and runs!

Also helped cousin get the head off the 1206 he just bought--- a finger-mashing job. We'd split the tractor anticipating lower end trouble. Cousin has decided to do a full re-build on her. He had a heck of a time getting the sleeves out of her, but he did it. I'll post some pics later this week.

After church was going to remount the tire to the wheel and the wheel to the rim on the 656...but took the LONG way home so children could pick out some fish for their aquarium. I can work on that tire next weekend.

Had dinner at the wife's aunts. Hauled some idiot cubes for the sheep. Tried to work on a 9n Ford, which just about made me forget everything I heard in church. Looked at the F-12 next to it in the shop and wished I had started on that instead.

Had a buddy come over and pick up his computer I've been working on, then we put the wheel weights on my M and got his new freebie snow blower running. Then went to another friends house and picked up 2 of his PC's to get worked on.

Well, I must confess, I had to skip church to get this done, but I took and passed a Concealed Carry course here in MO. Had 14 in the class and the instructor said that we were the best shots of any group he had done to date. Said we outshot quite a few of the cops he had worked with. He is a retired DEA guy. I think he really meant it. Annnnndd, there were 6 ladies in the group. We decide it was because we are all admitted "Rednecks"

Uh....skipped church today to go 17 miles down a frozen river on my Polaris 600 Switchback to a great fishing hole. Buddy and I had the fish hut out. Just finished up a nice meal of walleyes. Maybe I'll go twice next Sunday.....to church that is.

Plowed snow until dark. Thirty some driveways out of forty. The others are unoccupied, just have to be done by the weekend. Stopped to see my sister, came back out of the house and the pickup wouldn't start. I think melting snow dripped into the distributor. Gonna put a drag link in the other truck this morning, then tow in the dead one.

I always take a farmer's nap and then try to do the treasurer work so those deacons will be pleased.
Biggerred, have you ever thought that maybe God is trying to tell you something for working on his day.

After Church I took a good nap. A few years ago after Church I went out and cut a tree that was to close to my garden. I was just about to get her cut when the tree jumped off the stump and on top of my foot mashing it badly but not breaking it. I put the saw up and went in the house. Have made a rule to rest on God's day from then on.

My wife and I always go out for Brunch. Read the paper, watched some football. Got a head cold and didn't feel like do'in anything. Was out at 6 am plowing snow at the church parking lot with the H. At 5pm the wife had her family over for pizza and wings ( all 20 of em.)

After church I met a fellow who wanted to sell me a Colt single action army .45 made back in 1884. I looked the piece over and made him an offer. He's thinking about it..... and probably "shopping" my offer all over Alabama........ mike
