gaskets

Hi,
I just pulled the Hydraulic reservoir and rockshaft housing off of my IH2444. The paper gasket came off nicely without any damage. What do you all think about reusing it. I would add some RTV gasket maker to it as well. Thanks for any advice you may have.

Re-use it without the sealer.

What i would use on it would be 3H permatex and a light coat at that. Never ever use Dr. Blue around any hyd.'s .

If the gasket has even a hint of being touched by oil the RTV will never stick anyway.

I'd say buy a new gasket, or do as Allan says and re-use it without the sealer.
