Super C mounted plow

I have a Super C tractor, Also a two bottom plow. Not three point. I have not been able to mount the plow. Does anyone have instructions for mounting the plow. It seem to mount on the rear of the tractor and lift with the mechinism in the middle of the tractor.

Larry: It sounds as though you have some parts missing. Problem with these plows after 50 years, is much of the mounting hardware comes off, one piece at a time. Grandpa had a place he hung it all in the barn, then there was the odd part he had another use for. Grandpa passed away, and folks selling the estate missed some of those pieces.

Your best bet is find a parts diagram, then you can sort out what you have or don't have. Fabrication will be a possibility, as very likely what you have missing is steel flat bar, with a few holes drilled in it.

I don't know the model numbers for C and SC plows, however if they are like other IH implements there was an A, B, C, H and M version. There is an A-295 two bottom plow, diagnol cross members between plow beams. I think we can assume there is a C-295 two bottom plow. It's a start, go to CaseIH parts online, and look for C-295 plow, watch for any other C-xxx numbers.

If you happen to live in Canada, it could be a 212, difference is cross members between beams are perpendicular.

The Super C I had used a 2-bottom plow plow with the fast-hitch. Here's a pic of the A-295, but it looks like the plow we used on our 1950 Farmall C. Hal

If you look up farmall c on e bay there is a 2 bottom plow for a c listed. If you have the mounting brackets that are in the pictures let me know and I can send or email a copy of the manual

Drop me an email and I can send you some pictures of a plow mounted on my C. There are some differences between a C and a Super C but I can point them out on the pictures. It took my brother and I a couple of beers to figure out how to mount mine the first time. My email is open.

I have a similar plow that I bought for my c at an auction about a month ago and it has a bracket that mounts to the rear axle and a bar that attaches to the lift arms I assume anyway as I have njot had the time to work on it yet. kida, wife, work, lazy sometimes. but i can take some pictures if you like
