706 oil pump

Recently purchased a Farmall 706 (gas)which uses oil. One of the first things we did is a compression check and found +110 on all cylinders. Changed oil and ran it for +15 minutes. It had good oil presure so we parked it. Went back today and checked oil level and found it way over full. Pulled oil plug at filter (no oil). Removed oil filter and no signs of oil. Removed oil pan and found no real sign of sludge. Checked oil pump and found it free with no sludge or dirt at screen. Any suggestions on why no oil at filter after running for 15 minutes.

You will not find ny oil in the filter after shut down as it all drains back to the pan . This is not a problem . IF the oil stayed in the filter it would get real messy when ya changed the filter. Don't go looken for problems that are not there. IF ya want to know something about a 706 gasser then ask me as believe me when i tell ya this i know every nut and bolt i a 706 gasser and all the quarks that they have or can get .
