1927 Regular paint code

I'm getting ready to paint my '27 Regular and thought I had a correct Ditzler/PPG paint code (32565), however the guy at the paint store siad it shows up as being a black color. Has anyone used this PPG paint code? I'd like to verify it before spending big $$$ on paint. I've used PPG primes and sealers up to this point so I'd like to stick with this brand.

thats the gray i used for my 32 regular. in the can it looks real dark, but lightens up once you spray it. pg

I think that is the same code I used on my 29 regular. They will say it is black instead of grey. There is alot of debates on exactly what color is correct, but I will say at more than 2 shows I took it to in Texas, I had old men coming up to me and asking how in the world I ever got the correct color. They said it was exact in every way, at least from what they remembered. Jerry

listen to Paul, hes very knowledgeable on Pre 39 and his Regular is SPOT ON!! (ive seen it)
