Farmall H steering column

Hello everyone-- This is probably a very simple project, but I want to remove the steering column on my 44" H and have never done it before. Any oops type things I need to know before I start. Any pointers would be beneficial. Thanks Ryan

There are three parts to the systen.
A steering wheel and support with shaft running to the hood.
the front shaft, with U joint, and worm gear, and the Bolster, A large casting with a gear box on top, and a vertical shaft running through it that holds the wheels.
What are you taking apart? caseih.com search for paets has the diagrams of parts, JimN

want to remove the radiator.

take the plug out up frt. & just screw the shaftout, its easy
