Anyone got a used piston for a Super WD-9?

Hello all, I am helping a friend restoring a Super WD-9. We had it running a couple of weeks back but it sounded rather rough, further investigation revealed a lack of compression on #1 cylinder. This was later traced to a badly bent intake valve. The real problem was that whatever bent the valve has turned the piston from round to square and so we are in need of another. Does anyone out there have a usable used piston or know where I could track one down? Thanks, Sam

I have 3 pistons that came out of 1939 M if they will work you can have. Harley

Eventually I will.... In the process of rebuilding a SWD-9 at the moment. Has STD bore pistons and sleeves in it right now.

Not sure how long it will be before they are out. May be a week, may be a month...

The WD-9 is a diesel and the pistons are different

Thanks for the potential offer. I'm not sure how much of a hurry my friend is in. Where abouts are you (having got the offending piston out I know they're quite a lump to be shipping about). I'm up in Nova Scotia, Canada. Thanks, Sam

Michigan...

4 1/2" diameter... will have 3 good ones...

Head is in the hot tank right now... need to make a bottom for my sleeve puller... after that they come out...

Other option... give Howard Shuck a call... I've found anything SWD9 up related... pretty pricey.... new or used.
