Don't mess around with one component at a time. Get a complete tune up kit and put it on. It probably needs it anyway.
 
If you have fire at the coil & not at the dist cap it would be a bad coil wire,rotor or dist cap or bad plug wires, not the points & condenser. Make sure the wires are copper core & not carbon. Is the cap wet inside?
 
Is this your first start-up of the season? In any case, this is the time of year when caps and rotors show up dead. I keep a known good set around to swap test with (either new, or left over from a tune-up). I plow snow with my 140 and caps and rotors get killed by winter condensation here in not-so-cold NJ.
